Mary McCombs' funeral mass is Saturday, 20 June 2020. Due to Covid19 the church service is very limited. Regrettably, there also is no Rosary or Viewing. We rea...lize many people would like to pay their respects....Mary was a wonderful woman. Unfortunately the pandemic restrictions do not make this possible. Please accept our sincere affections and gratitude. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Doctors Without Borders - a favorite charity of hers. God Bless.

Mary McCombs, one of the original group of residents who were so very instrumental in the creation of the Rialto Senior Center, has passed away at the age of 104. Mary was a resident of Rialto since the late 1940s. Her husband, Ray McCombs, was the mayor from 1952-1954. Mary was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Navy WAVES, serving at the Naval Hospital on Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay. After the war, she returned to her career as a Social Worker for both Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, where she placed babies in adoptive homes. Mary was very active in a number of civic functions throughout her retirement, including the Rialto Historical Society, the American Association of University Women, The Altar Society for her church, and many others.
