Our foster care client, Pivotal, is looking to place 50 summer interns. Pivotal helps match you to a college student ready for your internship opportunity. Last summer, we had a great experience taking on two of Pivotal's interns, brothers John and Nemi, who were absolute rockstars. The two were both highly motivated individuals who were looking for the opportunity to expand their network, build their resumes and showcase their skills, ideas, and ambition. This experience was... the highlight of our summer, so we've decided to take on Pivotal interns again this year! Hiring or not, your network can still help. You can either cover the cost for another company to host an intern or refer a company that might be interested in hosting. It’s a great way to open doors for kids who don’t have their parent’s network to rely on. It’s important to build relationships with people who value the same things as us and that’s certainly no different when it comes to banking. We know what we'll be stocking our freezers with in the new year! Change the Whirled, the newest vegan flavor from Ben and Jerry’s, was created in partnership with Colin Kaepernick. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Know Your Rights Camp, Kaepernick's non-profit that works to dismantle systematic racism and white supremacy while empowering Black and Brown youth all over the country. Our virtual taste test with Ritual was a hit! It was great to catch up with our clients and get to do one of our favorite activities, drink coffee! We're caffeinated up and ready to get going on our next project with them.

Today we celebrate shelter pets and all they have to give! Our senior designer, Gloria adopted Jade back in January this year, and today celebrates her first birthday. Jade has brought so much warmth and energy working from home with moments of glorified screen time and unconditional love. She’s made me realize why I wanted to be a dog mom for the longest time. It’s been so nice to have routine walks, distractions of her uncanny excitement, and daily snuggle breaks. She’s in...spired my interest in pet adoption and made me a more selfless person. Despite noticing more holes in our socks, I can’t imagine life without her. Our Creative Director, Aimee adopted a furry friend Oslo. Oslo came into our lives when my friend Bridget sent me his profile from the Marin Humane website. He was surrendered when his guardian had to go into a care home and it was his second time at the shelter. The first time, he was found on the street and had a big scar across his lip, so seeing his messed up face, we knew we had to meet him. Earlier in the year, we'd lost our 17 year old ginger kitty named Graham and it broke me into a million pieces. After hearing what Oslo had been through, I knew we could heal each other, and he's been just the 16 pound, gentle giant I needed. Animals are the best.

This #givingtuesday, we are happy to be funding scholarships for the Griot Ambassadors, high schoolers who make up part of the Griot Theater Company team. Over the past months, we have been mentoring these students as a part of our partnership with the organization, helping them develop an identity, website, and marketing plan. With help from their teachers, these dedicated students have been working tirelessly to shape the look and feel of the website, which you can check out now! It's hard to feel like you're at the top of your game when you're working from home and going square-eyed from screen fatigue. The Good Stuff team was definitely feeling like we were running a little low on our creative energy and needed a break! So last Friday, for the second time now, we took an extra day off to do whatever the hell we wanted. One of us went car camping on the coast, another decided to brave Ikea, and someone else did bugger all and at vegan corn dogs on the sofa. Just one extra day can make a huge difference in your energy and attitude, so we highly recommend it if you can manage it just once a month. It's important to make sure you take care of yourself and the folks on your team.
