Most students in our #preschool program are the children of #immigrants. We strive to make our learning hands-on, #bilingual, project-based, and fun! We also want to #encourage them to reach for the #stars!! Although 1/3 of our #students attend in person, the rest attend our #affordable, #bilingual #preschool remotely. We're proud of these RESULTS from our #youth programs: - 96% of our program participants report that they enjoy coming to the program - 95% say they connect with a caring adult at Good Sam - 93% report that what they do at Good Sam reinforces what they learned during the #school day... - 86% feel more interested in their #education because of their participation. How are we improving educational #equity during the Covid-19 pandemic? We're hosting several pods of public school children every weekday at our Calvary Hill Community Hub in the #Bayview neighborhood. Kids use our #computers to log into remote school, do #homework, eat lunch, #garden, and #play-- all while our wonderful #mentors ensure each child gets one-on-one time with a caring adult and that #parents have what they need to support their children's education when at home.... Thanks to the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth & Their Families, attending the Hub is FREE for qualifying households . We also appreciate philanthropic and community partners, such as the Episcopal Impact Fund and the Calvary Hill Community Church, for their part in ensuring local families can enroll their children in high-quality enrichment programs like ours.

Thanks, Golden State Warriors , San Francisco Housing Development Corporation , Kitava Restaurant , and our very own team members! Each had a part in providing healthy meals to working class families hard hit by the Covid-19 crisis. As you can imagine, need has been up during the Covid-19 shutdown.
