It is with a heavy heart that I share unfortunate news. On Sunday, November 22nd at 1:03am, our loving therapy dog Hudson passed on while at our side. It was a sudden illness and a potential cancer diagnosis. His death was compassionate as I massaged his favorite areas and assured him that we would take care of his papa. We, along with our patients, are thankful to have Hudson, our puppy, as a dutiful and loving member of our clinic and family. He sparked joy everywhere h...e went and we will always keep him close in our hearts. We wish all of you Happy Holidays, during these uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic and wish good health to everyone. With love, Dr. Julie Gomez, DPT and Mario Gomez, Naya and Sierra Cheshewalla, and Angelina Ball

So our summer of 2020 comes to an end! First of all, Happy Labor Day! We will be closed but opening on Tuesday. When we all went into self quarantne all the gyms closed, 24 hours was cancelled, our office was empty. We redesigned ourself in 3 months from instituting telehealth with patients in isolation and we united as a family to stay in shape and make sure that GOMEZ PT stayed strong. As, you all know we reopened in June with all the new steps in place. Here is Aaron Gome...z demonstrating his COVID journey that started in May of this year! He has lost 30 lbs. and built muscle as well. Aaron was an elite track runner at Loyola high school and the methods he used then to train he incorporated to our GOMEZ PT protocols and Arbonne Weight Program which just enhanced the journey. When you think of Physical Therapy you might imagine its all just massage, and passive. Its not. Thats just one tiny part of the whole that needs to be integrated to medical exercise therapy. Whether you have an injury or you want to prevent one. Trust us. Enjoy the tiktok video! Thank you to all of you for observing the social distancing, the masks, hand sanitizing, temperature checks, etc.. We are excited to see COVID19 on the decline, but know that we need to continue with the NEW NORMAL! We have all been blessed so far to be COVID free. We have been on this journey with many people, close friends, patients, and relatives. Our 92+ dad is thriving and continues in self-quarantine. Little things that are making a difference for you and us on a daily basis. We have new additions to the gym for rehabilitation (treadmill, upright bicycle and privacy curtains).Of course, I have to mention the HALF RACK on the floor, hex bar, and classic barbells. This year is our 18th year! Thank you for all the good times and more to come! Dr. Julieta Gomez

Good news! We are open with modifications with two options of treatment: Telehealth Virtual Physical Therapy or in-person appointment for case by case patients. In-person visits will be prioritized according to diagnosis and urgency of unable to wait for 30 days such as post-operative diagnosis. High risk category patients will be seen for virtual visits, if unable to attend. We will also be screening our patients to ensure patient is not experiencing COVID-related symptom...s based on CDC guidelines* and local public health department. **For Telehealth, we use Bluejay Engage Patient app, which requires a smart-device (for example: phone, laptop, iPad that has camera and video access). How we're conducting office treatments visits: 1)Physical Therapist will conduct a Telehealth Screening appointment prior to the in-person visit and will assist patients to complete registration forms prior to the initial visit. This will reduce your registration process and streamline to paperless. 2) On day of your appointment, plan on your family or guests to wait in car, patient is only permitted in office. 3) Ring doorbell, on entrance, temperature will be taken, patient will be escorted to treatment area. Mask will be required. Universal precautions of hand washing, and use of sanitizer as well. 4)Therapy office will be following public health guidelines on social distancing. *To find out how you can protect yourself and your community from COVID-19, please refer to CDC's website for fully up to date information. Hi Everyone in Stay at Home! Good news physical therapy patients can receive electronic visits at home and will be reimbursed by their health plan. This is a technology has been available for other businesses. Medical providers have had limited permission to use for treating their patients. But, due to COVID19 pandemic and closures of gyms, exercise facilities and mandated self-isolation/stay at home our patients have been impacted in receiving physical therapy care. These... recent events have changed policy in reimbursement for telehealth physical therapy. Of course, this does not replace outpatient physical therapy but provides the ability for patients to continue with care while the country is in a medical emergency. Read the attached links on current payor practices for telehealth PT. Last week Medicare lifted restrictions on physical therapy telehealth and subsequently other payors have also.
