Golden State Pinball Festival

Dear Pinball Community and Friends, The past year has been difficult for all of us, not just those in the pinball community. The COVID-19 Pandemic has impacted nearly all aspects of our lives, especially entertainment. We certainly thought that as we cancelled the Golden State Pinball Festival in the Spring of 2020, that we would be having a festival the following year in May, 2021. Given the current infection rate as well as the anticipated number of people that will be va...ccinated come mid-May, we do not feel that it would be safe or prudent to hold our event. Therefore, with a heavy heart, we are cancelling our festival for 2021. A pinball show is a place where friends meet, shake hands, hug, play games and chat, chat, chat. Above all, we want to provide an environment where everyone can feel comfortable, safe, and the biggest worry is what food to try or which game to play next. On the bright side, we are clearly on the path to overcome this virus. The Lodi Grape festival has assured us that we will be able to hold the 2022 Golden State Pinball Festival the weekend of May 13-15. For those of you that reserved a spot at Camp Silverball in 2020, we will continue to roll your reservations forward - no action on your part is necessary. The Northern California Pinball Association is fortunate that as a 501c(3) non-profit, our yearly overhead is low and we remain solvent; we are not going anywhere. We look forward to welcoming you all back to Lodi in 2022. We know just how important all of you who volunteer and bring pins to the show are to having a successful event. YOU are the Golden State Pinball Festival! We appreciate your patience as we all wait for things to improve and we can get back to socializing and enjoying gathering again at pinball shows, museums, and arcades. Though the Golden State Pinball Festival does not need donations, our good friends at Pacific Pinball Museum do have infrastructure to maintain. If you are financially able to do so, they would appreciate any contribution large or small, or even the purchase of one of their games to help tide them over during these difficult times. Dear Pinball Friends and Family, It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the cancellation of the Golden State Pinball Festival for 2020. Please know that the Northern California Pinball Association has been in daily discussion about the pandemic. This was not an easy decision to make but recent developments, together with guidance from state, local, and federal authorities, have made this the only reasonable course of action.... We take the health of our guests very seriously. You may have noticed that the speakers at Pinball University are referred to as Special Guests or Presenters. This is because the real VIPs at the show are the people who bring games for our everyone to enjoy. We rely on all of these and an army of volunteers to bring you the Pinball Festival we all love. We cannot jeopardize that. You and your family’s safety is paramount. If there were a way to have the show and ensure the safety and health of our guests, please know we would have done so. Any vendors or campers that have made a deposit, will have the option of rolling their fees over into 2021 or receiving a full refund. You will be contacted by the NCPA within a few days. Dear Pinball Friends and Family, We appreciate all the questions and concerns that have been raised in the last several days and weeks as the coronavirus, COVID-19, situation continues to evolve and grow. The Northern California Pinball Association board has been active daily in discussing options and trying to find a responsible path forward that will ensure public safety and let the Golden State Pinball Festival continue as planned. We are using CDC guidelines as well as i...nformation from the California Department of Public Health and the local San Joaquin Public Health Services department. Our goal is to be completely transparent with all of you and take the appropriate actions as needed when they are needed, but not before. Unlike some of the recent show cancelations, we have more time, over two months in fact. So as of right now, the Festival is scheduled to continue as originally planned. Having said that, your safety and your family’s safety is paramount. We will continue to monitor and assess daily and based on governmental recommendations and common sense, we will adjust as needed. The Golden State Pinball Festival was proud to be a sponsor this past weekend at INDISC! This was the first Stern Pinball Pro Circuit event of the year and it was a roaring success! Be sure to join us for our Stern Pro Circuit sponsored event this May 15th-17th in Lodi California!

We had an amazing day at the Pacific Pinball Museum for our volunteer appreciation party! The Northern California Pinball Association was able to donate $3,000 this year to the museum! Thank you as always to our hard working volunteers who truly make the show as successful as it is. Volunteer next year and join the party!

Wow!!!!! With the help of our amazing volunteers and those that brought games and our wonderful patrons the Northern California Pinball Association was able to raise $26,840 for our partners the World Of Wonders Science Museum!! We can’t thank you all enough for helping us to support science education!!!
