Do you ever notice how when one family starts a cool home improvement project the neighbors take notice and get inspired to start one of their own? That's exact...ly what happened with our September imagineNATION Contest winners. They purchased their house from the original owners in 2017 and wanted to update the curb appeal to give it a fresh, modern look. The entire front of the house is...garage...so they knew the right garage door design would be key to a successful makeover. Clopay's Modern Steel door with windows stacked down one side fit the clean, contemporary vibe they envisioned. Clopay's Door Imagination System helped them decide between it or the Avante. Either one would certainly have been a winning choice. However, the neighbors down the street had recently completed a similar project and happened to replace their old garage door with Clopay Modern Steel. They recommended Pioneer Overhead Door, Inc for the job and one winning makeover led to another. Unbeknownst to us until now, that referral came from our November 2019 imagineNATION Contest winner! What’s the number one rule in real estate? Location, location, location. Our July imagineNATION Makeover Contest winners bought their Maryland home for the neig...hborhood, not the curb appeal. It took awhile to figure out how to blend their taste with the home's Dutch Colonial style. Once they did, a new garage door was at the top of the project list. After using Clopay’s Door Imagination System to visualize different looks, they chose Clopay Garage Doors Coachman carriage house door for its classic looks and simple upkeep. Other improvements included adding a new front porch and landscaping. The couple is proud of their home’s new look. As far as we know they aren’t planning on selling anytime soon, but when they do, the next owner will definitely be able to say, We bought our home for the location AND the curb appeal.
