It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of this summer’s Bear Valley Music Festival. It was a painful decision, but the health and safety of ou...r musicians, crew, audience, volunteers and residents of Bear Valley and the surrounding area is our top priority. After much discussion and consultation, we determined that there was too much risk with moving forward with a late July festival. We know this will come as a disappointment as the music festival has become the premiere summer event in Bear Valley. The festival is not only about entertainment, it’s about community building. It supports local businesses by bringing hundreds of people to the village each summer. It provides important work to musicians and crew members. And it gives us the opportunity to spend time with one another in an environment like none other in California. We will miss seeing you this summer, but rest assured the Festival is in a solid position built on 52 years of support from the community, volunteers and our faithful donors. We will move forward with strength and resolve that better days are ahead. The 2021 festival has been scheduled for July 23-August 8, 2021, and when we all gather again under the big white tent it will be an especially sweet celebration. With best wishes for your health and wellbeing, The Board and Staff of the Bear Valley Music Festival

We were curious about the symbolic meaning of frogs, like this little guy we found taking refuge amongst the leaves of a Shasta daisy, so we did some Googling. ...Turns out the frog has some simple, yet relevant-to-today lessons to teach us. According to mindfueldaily.com, "In many traditions, frogs are considered wise and peaceful creatures of nature. And while they’re a lot smaller (and greener) than we are, they have some pretty important things to teach us about life. 1. They know how to adapt: Frogs move with grace through water. They leap through the air with ease. And they can live just about anywhere on ground rock beds and tree canopies included. In short, frogs understand what it means to be fluid in one’s environment. 2. They know how to appreciate stillness: You can’t catch flies by jumping around all the time. Even the busiest of us need to make time to sit, reflect, and wait for good things to come our way. Besides, a mirror-smooth pond is a thing of beauty. 3. They know to take their time to grow: Frogs don’t start out as masters of water and earth. They begin as tiny tadpoles, taking as much time as they need to find their legs, learn to swim, and make their permanent home in the world." We hope you, like we have, found meaning in this message, or at the very least, found joy in this cute frog face
