Wasn't feeling the "live" post today, but I still wanted to share this amazing trail in Irvine. Jeffery open space has both a paved bike path and dirt trails. There are bathrooms, water fountains, lots of trash cans, and cool tid-bits of info/ history along the path. Plus there are cool bridges over our tunnels under the roads, so you can get totally into the trail and completely forget you're still in the city! So proud of this little pup! She was one of the most nervous puppies I have ever met. We have gone from completely frozen in the corner of the room to running in on her own with no coaxing or leash needed. We still have a ways to go but today she participated in our fungility training enrichment and did pretty well! Mental exercise: GATE BOUNDARY One of the areas in our daycare that produces the most excitement/stimulus for the dogs is the gate area. Dogs arrive and leave and staff come in and out through the gates. Dogs get excited and sometimes overstimulated by it opening and closing. We ask for calm entry and exit and expect the dogs to give us space when entering and exiting. #gofetchlb #mentalexercise #atireddogisagooddog
