Elementary TK-8th grade Teacher for the 2021-22 School Year at Mountain Home School. This teaching job involves two primary components. First, this teacher will... be responsible to work on an individual basis with 27 students and each of their parents to develop and oversee their individual independent study programs. Secondly, this teacher will provide class instruction two days a week in middle school level mathematics. As a Personalized Learning public charter school, Western Sierra Charter Schools (WSCS) offers students and families unique, customized and personal, educational services. The Endeavor Charter School Drama classes will be streaming their video play of Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women!" in partnership with the Golden Chain Theater tonight, November 27th at 7pm online. The production is patterned similarly to last spring's "King Lear," in which each of the students were filmed independently, and the footage was edited together to run like a regular show. The play is based on Louisa May Alcott's famous book, and is shortened to be no longer than 20-25 minutes. It showcases humor and creativity, as well as maintaining the heart of the original. The premier will take place on the Golden Chain Theaters facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GoldenChainTheatre/posts/3829069507125376 If you miss it tonight you can watch the recording at any time after the premier.

Dear WSCS Families and Students, I hope you have all enjoyed your well-earned break this last week! PG&E has announced a Public Safety Power Shutdown (PSPS) for... much of Eastern Madera County. This power shut-off is expected to begin on Sunday 10/25 evening and remain off until mid-day on Tuesday 10/27. For more information, follow this link for the PG&E PSPS http://pge.com/ This means that we expect the great majority of our families and staff who live in the foothills of Fresno County and Madera County to be without power during this time. This mostly effects Mountain Home School and Glacier High School students and staff. Also, our Oakhurst building will be without power. Please take note of the following important information: If the power is shut down, these are still school days. Please continue to do whatever schooling you can in the situation you are in. We anticipate that all Endeavor classes will proceed as normal unless your class teacher sends you a Parent Square with alternate instructions. All Mountain Home School classes will be canceled during the power outage. All Glacier math classes will be canceled during the power outage. For all other Glacier classes, look for a separate Parent Square from your class teacher. If the power is shut off, we will open our Oakhurst building on Monday from 8:00 -11:00 if you need to drop off or pick up materials from your teacher. Please stay tuned for any necessary Parent Square updates. Persevero! Michael Cox
