GIVE & TAKO

We can't thank you enough! On Dec 28th, GIVE & TAKO successfully completed our first business in San Diego :D We were able to serve so many customers including regulars, friends, vendors at the same market, and first-time visitors. Wonderful meeting with these people helped us with our start, gave us energy to keep going, and brought up this business so that we can get closer to local people. Especially, we're very happy about the fact that our own creation "Diego Ball" has... been accepted by San Diegans! As a result, our donation from the sales to non-profit, food-related organizations will be over $1000 in total which can provide 4000 to 5000 meals to those in need. Hope we could make someone feel happier :) We feel like GIve & Tako has just taken the first step toward becoming "Go local! Go social! " business ;) This isn't over yet, hopefully. Thank you!

Believe it or not, tomorrow is the final day of GIVE & TAKO! Even though there is a big game of Chargers, we will be waiting for you coming before or after that ;) Actually, our food goes perfectly with beer when you watch the game, or could be light lunch after enjoying it.... And the final campaign will be going on as follows! See you later :D

Second Donation to San Diego Food Bank ! We made a second $100 donation from our proceeds of November. Big thank you to our customers for great support! Your purchase of Diego ball enables us to support those in need in SD. Jim, CEO of SDFB, came to see me again even though he was super busy in the midst of Holiday Food Drive 2014. Please check it out, too! ... And ... we have only two more business days including this Sunday! Don't miss it ;)

There's something we have to tell you ... GIVE & TAKO will be closed down at the end of this year. This is because the owner, which is me, is going back to Japan in February 2015. ... Even though I love GIVE & TAKO, customers, supporters, Hillcrest Farmers Market and its managers, and our staff, even though we've been doing great so far and got a lot of regulars, that's reality. We have three more weeks including tomorrow. We'll do our best and be waiting for you!! See you soon :D

Our customers built 31 quarters' tower in "Build a Healthier World with 25 cents"! Thank you :D We joined the campaign organized by Table For Two in October & November. Including GIVE & TAKO's donation of $10 (=40 meals), 71 school meals will be delivered to kids in need :) #TFTWFD14

1st Donation to San Diego Food Bank!! It's a great honor to see James, the president & CEO of SDFB :) They are really supportive even though GIVE & TAKO is much smaller than most of their sponsors. Our $100 donation provides 500 meals for hungry people in SD county ;)

We were at Kujira Gakuen Fall Festival in 2014 last Saturday. A lot of kids were coming to buy our food :) They were sooooo cute!

Oct 19th, it was the last day that Reiko helped us out. She is going back to Japan soon. Reiko has been supporting us since GIVE & TAKO started in April. We're absolutely sure that "No Reiko, no GIVE & TAKO!" We're gonna miss her but never say good-bye to her. Hope we'll be able to work together again somewhere in the world :) Never say never!
