Happy Holidays to all of our friends and families! Here we celebrate our annual staff Christmas dinner. This time we are enjoying two boats filled with a variety of sushi at Sushi Nara, Morgan Hill.

October 30, 2019 Celebrating Renee Villano's First Anniversary with Dr. Gar Chan and his staff.

Every two years Dr. Chan hosts a basic life support renewal course for the staff in our office. This year we had the pleasure of having Mark Ganley as our instructor. Here we go!

Today our staff participated in the mandatory accredited continuing education courses for dental licencees in Infection Control and the California Dental Practice Act presented by long time consultant, Tom Terry. Every time when Tom visits our office, he looks at our equipment, goes through our instrument drawers, and critiques and inspects our safety and infection control prototcols. At the end of each visit, he makes recommendations and advises us of upcoming changes in OSHA and those made by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Thanks, Terry, for sharing your expertise and for your invaluable on-site visits. Most of all thank you for helping us to keep our patients and ourselves safe.

We all had a family style dinner with soup, salad, bread, and desert with our choice of entree of rib eye steak, lamb shank, salmon, chicken or pork chops. Wine was included and the meal was delicious! Susan Baldwin was the "chosen" one to have the only chocolate chip ice cream. Everyone else had the raspberry cream. Toasts to everyone!

Welcome to Renee Villano, our new Scheduling and Financial Coordinator!... Renee says, I have been in the dental field since 1997. I thoroughly enjoy working with patients and helping them schedule the treatment they need. I am prompt, professional and goal oriented. I enjoy learning new things and always ready for a challenge. I like working in a practice where everyone loves what they do and it shows. Renee loves to assist patients with their needs. She joins our team with a wealth of experience. She holds current x-ray, oral conscious sedation and CPR certifications. Her resume boasts eighteen years of experience in administration, insurance billing and treatment planning. She is semi fluent in Spanish. Renee was born and raised in Gilroy and still has family here. She and her husband, Jorge, have two children, including a newborn. Both Renee and Jorge enjoy spending time with their children, family and friends. Renee’s hours are: Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday 7:00 a.m. to noon. Today marked another milestone in our practice's history. We said goodbye to Michelle Ortiz and hello and welcome to Renee Villano, respectively our outgoing and incoming Scheduling, Treatment and Financial Coordinator.

Today we say goodbye to Michelle Ortiz, our wonderful co-worker and fellow staff member. Michelle leaves our practice to pursue personal interests. Thank you so much, Michelle, for always taking care of all of us with a smile. Thank you for being honest and sincere and for trying to do your best for everyone. We will miss you and we know that whatever you do, you will do your best.
