I did not vote today for a person, a personality, a party, or even a platform. Sure, my vote technically ends up being in a particular column, but what I voted... for was a philosophical trajectory. I was once told that there are never perfect options, but I should consider setting sail on the ‘ship’ that takes me closest to the ‘shore’ I want to get to. I don’t believe there’s a political solution to the hurt in our world, and I am leaning on the hope that I see revealed in scripture.
