I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Kathie Moehlig yet but I think she's amazing already for all the great work she's doing to support our trans youth being able to be approved for getting top surgery for those under 18 as well as so many other supportive services.

"I am just a lot more f***ing comfortable and present, so it's hard to imagine that that's not affecting the work, because, really, being present's ultimately what you're going for you're just ultimately trying to crack open and be present and connect to the truth of a moment," Page said. Aside from the counseling/therapy we provide here at GWLA, there are several organizations one can leverage for support of transgender and gender non-conforming children and their parents. From workshops conducted by gender conferences, local chapters of PFLAG private camps for transgender and non-binary youth, to support groups like TYFA and PFLAG that work with families and youth; thankfully, there are many options. In addition, one might look to several conferences that are often well-attended by children and their families which include Gender Odyssey, @gender_spectrum and Models of Pride.

Casey remarks on how this can sometimes result in folks returning to their original gender after transitioning.
