LIFE: 1957 The hotrodding craze was hitting the mainstream. Bored teenagers and returning servicemen looking to amp up their lives created a subculture that permeates our current culture. LIFE: 2020 Let me get raw and personal (this is Michelle btw): I am resurfacing from a deep dark depression. Almost a year of death, loss and grief has left me void of the creative juice that usually fuels my daily routine. It seems mundane, even negligent to try to focus on going about life... as if everything was ok. But maybe that is exactly the point: maybe we need to focus on things that entertain or soothe or engage us. Maybe it is exactly these actions that keep us moving forward, driving for something better, something healing and uniting. I don’t have the answer but I am trying to find my way through this so for the next few days or weeks, I AM going to share projects, products and images that inspire and excite me. Hopefully it will jumpstart my creative juices again. Be safe and love those around you.
