SUMMER DANCE PROGRAM! Registration opens May 3rd and closes June 11th. Two-week program beginning July 12th for ages 4yrs-Adult. New Pre Ballet students. Today we drew a picture of King Louis XIV and while wearing princess crowns worked on our straight backs and good posture. Next week proper hair and class attire. Too cute.

I've been reading dance articles lately talking about mean teachers who belittle students or directors treating company members poorly. I've been out of the biz for a long time, but I thought these trends were definitely fading. Also issues about body types and the stigma of having a more curvy body in professional ballet.
