We at The Gardenia take seriously our concern for the health and safety of our patrons. Experts advise that if one has a cough or fever, it is best to self-quarantine. That is, please stay home to recover---it is best not to venture out, even to a favorite spot such as The Gardenia. We also recognize that at this time each patron must gauge for himself or herself the level of risk one is willing to accept as we engage in social interactions with others. Staff at The Garde...nia will facilitate social distancing to the extent that is possible, and encourage the use of our hand sanitizer and hand-washing facilities. At this time (March 12, 2020,) The Gardenia will not be initiating the cancellation of performances unless circumstances change. Tuesdays, March 3, 10, 17, 24, & 31. The Gardenia’s OPEN MIKE, with Keri Kelsey, host. From 9 to 11 p.m., Keri Kelsey hosts a Singers’ Open Mike Night---the best in town, now in its twentieth year. Sign-up begins at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 5 - JAZZ JAM Reservations - 323-467-7444 Dolores Scozzesi and Jeffrey Gimble host a monthly jam the first Thursday of each month. If you sing or play jazz, this gives you the opportunity to hone your chops and play with some of the best musicians in town. Each jam features a rhythm section, and runs from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. The signup list will be posted online at Gardenia Jazz Jam on Facebook the day of the jam. $10 cover plus 2 drink minimum.

Friday, March 6 - WAYNE & BRENDA reprise their new show, Harry---the Music of Harry Nilsson. This time with a band ! Reservations - 323-467-7444 When at a press conference the Beatles were asked who their favorite American artist was, both John Lennon and Paul McCartney answered Nilsson! Wayne Moore adds, Nilsson is my favorite composer.and in a world of Gershwins and Paul Simon, that’s saying something. Wayne and Brenda Silas Moore, who have been entertaining audiences for nearly 40 years and opened The Gardenia in the early 1980’s, celebrate the man and his music with brand new arrangements. Variety has called Wayne and Brenda a miniature Broadway show, and the L.A. Times referred to them as that large and hilarious duo.

Friday, March 13 - FRANKIE BISCOTTI Reservations - 323-467-7444 Owner of Frankie’s Old World Italian Bakery and Café in Cathedral City, Mr. Biscotti’s past includes having been a child actor on many stages and commercials; opening for The Rockettes with a group called The 20th Century; performing with Eddie Albert and Connie Stevens in theater-in-the-round; and joining the United States Air Force. He presently has a Jerry Vale show, which enjoys its Los Angeles debut with this performance.
