Garden Grove Day Camp is back! Children ages 5-12, come join in on the fun, starting June 14-August 13! Children will participate in outdoor activities, crafts, and special guest presentations. Registration starts TOMORROW, April 27, 2021. Teens, ages 13-17, are invited to join our Counselor In Training program to gain skills in camp leadership. Fill out an application today! In case you missed our Drive-Through Eggscavation event this year, check out this recap produced by our very own Garden Grove TV 3! We passed out over 4,000 candy-filled eggs at the event and families even had the chance to take a photo with the Easter Bunny from the safety of their vehicles. A big THANK YOU to all our participants for submitting such beautiful artwork for the Eggscavation Craft Contest! Join the H. Louis Lake Senior Center every Thursday from 1:00 PM 2:00 PM for their Let’s Chat About It series! The next session will be on April 8th and features a wellness workshop, presented by SCAN, called Healthy Grieving: How to Live After Loss. Future sessions will include information about virtual recreation opportunities for seniors, a DIY spring craft, and an information session about 2-1-1 Orange County, a resource and referral system for various support needs. SENIORS: Get ready for a spooky evening in your car! You and your families are invited to the H. Louis Lake Senior Center's Movie in the Park(ing) Lot! The FREE event is next Thursday (10/15), at the #GardenGrove Community Meeting Center's parking lot, at 11300 Stanford Avenue. Due to continuing high temperatures, we have extended our Cooling Center hours at the Garden Grove Sports and Recreation Center until 5:00 p.m. today (10/1).

We put a spell on you, and now it’s time for our Annual Jack O’ Lantern Jamboree! While we can’t have our traditional carnival celebration, we still wanted to bring a little Halloween spirit to Garden Grove. Join us on Friday, October 23rd for a movie in the park! We’ll be watching Hocus Pocus at Garden Grove Park so bring your blankets, foldable chairs, some snacks, and be sure to wear your costume! Need to beat the heat? The Garden Grove Sports and Recreation Center, located at 13641 Deodara Drive, will be open as a public cooling center today, September 29 through tomorrow, September 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
