too much cuteness here !
Camberley Kate and her stray dogs, 1962 by Evelyn Hofer... She would walk a four mile route with her pack pushing this wagon to get donations to keep them. She never turned away a stray.
Disgusting and evil how some people treat their pets. But this has a happy ending.

ANIMALS Are the absolute BEST !!!!
No. 14 is so annoying
Please- Save that animal in distress, but do it legally! In California if you are going to break a vehicle window to rescue an animal, there are some steps to m...ake sure that you do it legally. First, the animal must be in distress. Simply saying it's hot outside isn't enough. For example, a dog that's barking, growling, wagging etc is probably not in distress. You can still call 911, but you can't break the window (yet). Second, you have to call police BEFORE you break the window. Third. You must check to make sure the doors are locked. Lastly, if you do break the window, you can't leave and must wait for police to arrive... since the danger to the animal is lower after you rescue it, you might have to wait a while. Do these things and you should be immune from criminal prosecution (although there could still be civil issues). ***Ignore these steps and the animal owner can demand that you be arrested!*** While it's not required, take video of you trying the door handles and showing the condition of the animal, this would be for your defense in case legal issues arise. If an animal is not in distress you may do it even more harm by causing injury from broken glass, it escaping into traffic, or it attacking you to defend it's territory. If there is time, give us a chance to come break the glass instead. You'll get a front row seat and great video of it, you'll still be the one that rescued it, but we'll take all the blame and responsibility. If you must break it, be careful, physically and legally. - and thank you for saving a life.
