Fullstop Dance 11.05.2021

This weekend, months of blood, sweat, tears, anxiety, relief, fear, love, laughter, anger, depression, elation, and gratitude comes together for the virtual wor...ld premiere of "The Healer", Jan 29 & 30, my first large-scale work for RAWdance since the pandemic began. After being heartbroken by its postponement in March 2020, it has taken every fiber of my being to rebuild, reimagine, and execute this piece of art safely and thoughtfully, to honor it's original intentions and see the opportunity it offers us today to experience valuable healing in community. Each evening features a pre-show presentation by remarkable women guest speakers/healers, a world premiere dance filmed at ODC Theater (featuring performance by Stacey Yuen, Juliann Witt, Michaela Cruze and myself, video by Loren Robertson Productions, original score by Daniel Berkman, scenic design by Chad Owens, lighting design by Del Medoff, and costume coordination by Jhia Louise), and a live post-show Q&A with artistic collaborators moderated by Yutian Wong. I've crafted a DIY Sensory Watch Guide for those who would like to enhance their sensorial experience of the premiere by gathering items to taste, smell, and touch throughout the performance. More info can be found here: rawdance.org/thehealer. Tickets: http://odc.dance/thehealer I'm filled with a deep appreciation for all of the dancers, designers, staff, and technicians who put their hearts, souls, and energy into bringing this dream to life. The only thing remaining is you. Your presence would be the final cherry on top of this surreal, challenging, and rewarding experience. I truly hope to see you there!
