Hello Dragons! We are excited to announce we have hired Sarah Shah as Head Coach of Girls Water Polo. Coach Shah has played water polo in Ventura County since the age of 12, competing with Gold Coast Water Polo Club, Buena High School, and Ventura College. She served as Assistant Coach for the Santa Paula Girls’ Water Polo team for the past four years, and has also coached club. Coach Shah is the Head Swim Coach at St. Bonaventure and previously taught swim for 8 years, serv...ing as Head Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at Ventura Aquatic Center for several years. She is currently attending Cal Lutheran to obtain her teaching credential in special education. Please join us in welcoming her to Foothill! Go Dragons! -Jamaal Brown Athletic Director

Hello Dragons! We are excited to announce that we have hired Patty Gomez as Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach. Coach Gomez has been coaching girls and boys soccer for over a decade at both the high school and club levels. From 2018-2020, she served as Foothill’s Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach, during which time her JV Girls teams had an undefeated league record, and the varsity teams were League Champions (and co-champs). Coach Gomez brings compassion and dedication... and will provide continuity to this highly successful program. Go Dragons! -Jamaal Brown Athletic Director

Hello Dragons! We're excited to announce the following coach hires: - Anthony Unchangco, Head Varsity Coach, Boys Tennis... Coach Unchangco has over 15 years experience coaching club & high school basketball, tennis, and track & field and previously served as Foothill Tech’s athletic director. A Health & P.E. teacher at FTHS, he brings to the program a wealth of knowledge regarding strength & conditioning, teamwork, and organization. - Chuck Ferris, Head Varsity Coach, Girls Basketball Coach Ferris brings over a decade of coaching experience, including the past two years with the Foothill program where he has served as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. He focuses on building a positive and supportive culture while teaching the skills that lead to success on the court and in life. - Richard Geib, Head Varsity Coach, Girls Tennis Coach Geib has coached youth tennis and soccer for the past 7 years and is an active member of the Ventura tennis community, including as captain of the Men’s 4.5 USTA League Tennis Team out of the Pierpont Racquet Club. A History & English teacher at FTHS, he will bring his skills as an educator to the court, helping team members to learn and grow from both victories and defeats.
