Students from Short have won in the past and been featured in our local library and the Lloyd Taber Marina Library as well as all over the county. Children from Kindergarten to 12 grade are invited to participate. Be creative and have fun, and please use your original creations (no cartoon characters). This Saturday, October 24th from 10am to 2pm is our first Closet CleanOut Collection! We will be collecting gently used, worn and new shoes, and clothes of any style and size. If we collect 2500 pairs of shoes, we could raise $1,000! Please spread the word to friends and neighbors!!! The used clothes will be brought to consignment shops where the school will earn a % of sales. Anything not purchased will be donated to local thrift shops. And we are teaming with Aaron Bernbach and Devin McNichol, of Rodeo Reality, who are collecting breakfast cereal and canned food donations for the Westside Food Bank. As a thank you, they are giving a free pumpkin while supplies last. Don’t forget your mask when dropping off.

Since we cannot hold our annual International Day potluck this year, we have decided to create a cookbook filled with the family recipes from our diverse and international community! We are asking for your help by submitting one (or more) of your family recipes by International Day, October 19th to be included in our Short Avenue Cookbook. Check your emails for the submission format and details on buying one!
