Campfires, barbecues and gas stoves are allowed with a valid California campfire permit (unless there is a Red Flag Warning or Fire Weather Watch for the area).... My First trip to El Mirage and I guess it would be fair to say I was blown away! Beautiful morning, a lot of cool cars (and bikes), some I had seen before and ...some I hadn't. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans and although a number of records were set, by noon we were done because of wind and blowing dust. Trying to get off the lakebed, the blowing dust was worse than any pea soup fog I have ever encountered! See more
