We are hosting an Open House for prospective and new families this Saturday, April 17, 11am-1pm. This drop in event will be conducted on-site and in-person. We’ll primarily spend time outdoors but will provide short tours inside. Social distancing will be practiced both indoors and outdoors, and masks are required. We are pleased to announce the imminent reopening of Palo Alto Friends Nursery School! We would like to provide families with the opportunity to enroll for summer camp, and for the 2021-22 school year. More details can be found at our website (pafns.org) or by emailing us ([email protected]). A summary of key information can be found below. We are excited to see you at FNS soon!... * Summer camp * Enrollment is now open so get in quickly. You can access the applications online, or email us at [email protected]. The PAFNS Summer 2021 program will be offered in four separate, two week sessions. Children may enroll in multiple sessions. - Session 1 - June 7 through June 18: $730 - Session 2 - June 21 through July 2: $730 - Session 3 - July 6 through July 16: $730 - Session 4 - July 19 through July 30: $730 Summer school hours will be 9:00am - 12:30pm, Monday through Friday. * School year 2021-22 * Enrollment is now open for the 2021-22 school year. We will be offering half-day morning programs (9am - 12pm) as follows: For 4 and 5 year olds: - Mon, Wed, & Fri, $695 per month - Tues and/or Thurs Explorers (small group), $240 per month For 3 year olds: - Tues and Thurs, $495 per month - Mon and/or Wed Explorers (small group), $240 per month Note: We are following the COVID-19 guidelines from the state and county, with all strict hygiene protocols. Class sizes are subject to change as the guidance changes.

We have spent the last few weeks quietly contemplating how we can add a meaningful and actionable contribution to support diversity, promote kindness, and seek social justice. To our local community. To our families and teachers, past and present. THANK YOU. We know that this is a difficult time for all of us, and we are so very grateful for your support. Your generosity has ensured that our school, that has been a special part of the community for 66 years, can carry on doing what we love doing. ... Today we officially close our fundraising campaign, and are pleased to confirm that we met (and exceeded!) our goal of raising $20,000.

We need your help. COVID-19 has put a strain on our resources, requiring us to take steps to ensure the financial future of Friends Nursery School. Shelter-in-place has meant we are unable to conduct our annual fundraising event, Fiesta, an event that is crucial to the school’s stable financial position.... Nearly 90% of our revenue is directly attributable to the teachers’ payroll. While we have made the decision to continue to pay our teachers so that they can support themselves and their families during this uncertain time, our ability to continue to do so will depend on further funding. So, Friends needs the help of all our friends. Our local community. Parents. Businesses. People who’ve learned with us, past and present.
