We are beyond proud that two of our Homenetmen members Teveen Aghababian and Nare Avetian are on the National Team and part of the effort to represent and elevate women’s soccer in Armenia. Good luck to you both!

Happy Palm Sunday!

Today our Ari/Arenoushes went on a fun hike in Walnut Creek! During their hike, they practiced their trail signs and shouted their favorite ganches!

For today’s ashkhadank, our Kayleeg/Ardzeveegs exercised, did a fun leprechaun hunt activity, watched an educational video about dinosaurs, and learned the K/A prayer and vow. They wrapped up the ashkhadank with a fun game of ispy and would you rather! The Ari/Arenoushes split into their Ayp Gark and Norendza groups and studied their book materials. Y. Raffi gave an educational about the Armenian constitution. After, they came together and had a discussion about their upcoming hike, going to church together, and plans for in person ashkhadanks. They finished their meeting with a fun round of mafia! We hope to see you at our next ashkhadank!

Ceremony to honor our brave scouts who fought and those we lost defending our homeland. Their photos posted on the memory wall, posthumous awards of medals of service and most poignantly their elevation of rank to that of Kmpabed - troop leader, for they now join their brother and founding member of Homenetmen HASK Y. Vartan Pakhshyan in guiding our principles and illuminating the path for those who follow. Listen closely to the speeches at the 23min mark. This is Homenetmen.

Please help us raise our goal amount of $20,000 to send medical supplies to Artsakh, which include blood clotting materials, Israeli emergency bandage packs, wheelchairs, current wound care supplies, etc. This list was forwarded to us by the Ministry of Health of Armenia. All donation amounts are greatly appreciated. Please share the word to help us reach our goal as soon as possible! #artsakhstrong #artsakhisarmenia

Dear Homenetmen Members, As you are all undoubtedly aware, the ongoing situation in our homeland is deeply concerning. The war in Artsakh today is a fight for the very survival of our homeland, and indeed the Armenian identity. It is a type of war that has many fronts, one of which where we stand today as diasporan Armenians. We have a responsibility to support in honor of those who have given their lives and their futures for our sake. We expect that many, if not all of you... have already donated significant amounts to help our struggling compatriots. Nonetheless, the need in our homeland far exceeds the historically significant funds the diaspora has already raised. With this reality in mind, together with our sister chapters, Homenetmen San Francisco Executive Committee has decided to provide our members the opportunity to donate their entire annual membership dues to the Armenia Fund. As you know the situation with the pandemic has restricted usage of our gym and curbed our athletic program. For that reason, we will not be charging fees for athletics. We know some of our members have already paid their membership dues prior to Covid-19 closures, and some may have paid the original amount for Athletic Membership - rest assured your overpayment will be a credit for next year. For those who haven't paid their membership dues for 2020 yet, please send your dues in the amount of $50 (or more) as soon as possible. Every coach, every athlete, every scout, every family member, every parent, and every person who reads this message is today a member of our chapter and we expect an overwhelming and swift response to this effort. Checks can be sent to our gym address noted below, paid via Venmo: @homenetmen-sf, or visit www.sfhomenetmen.org. Please do not delay as we will seek corporate matching of all funds received and every dollar will be sent to Armenia Fund. Thank you and with warmest regards, Homenetmen San Francisco Chapter Executive Committee www.sfhomenetmen.org 699 Serramonte Blvd., Unit 125 Daly City, CA 94015

We would like to thank everyone who supported our clothing drive for displaced Artsakh families. We would also like to thank our sister chapters ( Homenetmen Gars, Homenetmen Ani, and Sacramento Lori Miavor) who came together to plan such an amazing fundraiser. Our own chapter was able to fill 49 bags. Clothes and financial donations will be on their way tomorrow. Although we are far, we must always do whatever is possible to help our kouyrs and yeghpayrs in the motherland. This is yet another reminder that when we come together as a community, we can do anything.
