Traditional neo retro post-industrialist modern punk quilting, or TNRPIMPQ for short. One quilt bloggers take on Modern ( or any other kind ) Quilting. http://www.thebitchystitcher.com/
I was excited to show this quilt at our first official IEMQG meeting. At my traditional guild I entered it in the Red and White Challenge, in honor of the exhibit and book "Infinite Variety: Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts". There were some pretty innovative quilters back in the day. It does point out that labels are important, so many descriptions like: Concentric Squares Variation Quilt Artist unidentified United States 18801910... Maybe you think none of your quilts could end up part of such an impressive exhibition, but probably many of these quilters didn’t think so either! http://folkartmuseum.org//infinite-variety-three-centurie/
I just returned from a great family vacation, that I hauled both of my full size sewing machines along on. (sewing with grandkids is the best) But now I'm contemplating a more travel friendly sized machine. Do you travel with yours? Do you have one mainly for travel and workshops? Tell us about it!
