Our applied spatial technology class (IT 186/286) is giving Fresno State students great hands-on experience using software that integrates geographic information systems (GIS) & global positioning systems (GPS). Fresno State Industrial Technology faculty Dr. Balaji Sethuramasamyraja & graduate student Kory Gilman are helping the students apply these principles to projects involving agricultural, utility & natural resource data in labs both virtually and occasionally in-person this spring (that follow COVID-19 safety protocols).

Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology and Fresno State Industrial Technology recognize senior Mario Bedolla Lopez who has been even busier than your typical college student this past fall. Besides working full-time at Perigo Welding, he has taken a full load of classes at both Fresno State & the College of the Sequoias so he can graduate this spring, a full year earlier than expected. We strongly encourage students to continue to be engaged in their academic success by continuing to study, review course materials and prepare assignments. Students should communicate via email directly with their professors or department chair if they have specific questions or concerns related to projects, presentations, exams, cou...rsework, etc. If you wish to, or need to participate in the courses IT 190, 199, 290, 298 (C) in Fall 2020, please start thinking about drafting a proposal now. The deadline for submission to Debbie Pichardo (DIGITAL COPY ONLY) is 5:00 P.M on Friday, April 17, 2020. PLEASE NOTE: If you are a student who is physically building / manufacturing as your project a zoom presentation will be required and will need to be scheduled. If you fall under this category please email the faculty you are assigned to and make sure to CC Debbie and Dr. Alex. Students who wish to participate in the above mentioned classes must be senior and Fall 2020 must be your final semester before you graduate. All students who submit a proposal will be verified that you are a senior and in your final semester before a permission number is given.
