We had the pleasure of training the Culinary Specialist team in Breakouts and Issues to the General Mess, Sanitation, Nutrition, the G4G program and a review of the NAVSUP P486 Appendix I. Assist visits can be formally requested via email utilizing the latest version dated May 2019 to CSC Bouranel [email protected]. CURRENT OPERATIONS Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic NFMT San Diego has been operating in alignment with Navy policy. To better understand and set forth expectations to our mission partners, the information below further explains how NFMT San Diego will continue to operate to support the mission: NFMT is providing optimal distance technical support and conducting emergent assist visit requests as required. Emergent assist visit requests are coordinated by using the f...ormal request as outlined in Food Flash 19 #1 and emailed back to any one of our team members. Once a request is received and deemed as emergent, the request will be routed through the FLC chain of command for approval. Assist visits will still be executed IAW Appendix I of the NAVSUP P-486. For any further questions on what is considered an emergent request, contact the team directly. FUTURE OPERATIONS Once directed, the NFMT San Diego will open up standard assist visits for command requests using the formal request as outlined in FF19 #1. We will further open the published seminar training for non-culinary courses with the following conditions: Class sizes will be limited to eight students and two instructors Increased hand sanitizer stations will be on station within the classrooms All personnel will wear face coverings at all times, to include instructors Students will be seated to optimize social distancing All students will be screened prior to each entry into the building on the West entrance Student rosters will be sent out to commands in advance of course convening dates with additional COVID-19 questionnaires prior to confirming quota reservation via e-mail from the lead instructor. *Examples of non-culinary courses include: advancement training, FSM 3, JOD/Sanitation, SERVSAFE, nutrition, and FSO/LCS. Happy New Years Eve Fleet! In the past year the NFMT has had the privilege of training Sailors all across the fleet, but we couldn't have done it without proper planning. Speaking of proper planning, please enjoy your holiday as you ring in the New Year! More importantly please have a plan and don't drink and drive! The most important part of the Navy is our Sailors and we look forward to see you all in 2020!
