THIS! With all of these amazing programs becoming more and more prevalent I think the time has come for US to start advocating locally. Let's shake it up Fresno.

There are a LOT of mixed opinions in the doula community about these types of bills. IMHO, I absolutely LOVE them and will happily support anything that consistently assists the women who need it the most.

Seeing more and more cities throw support behind doula care is SO encouraging.

Guess what you guys? Two days ago I attended a birth (beautiful baby boy!) and met someone who is a former L&D nurse and wants to become a DOULA! She is also another amazing community activist (just like our other two new doulas!) and I know she'll be a HUGE ASSET to our local birth world. Can't wait to introduce her to everyone.
