We could not have picked a better week to announce the success of our No Human Is Illegal Mural Unveiling Ceremony held 2 Sundays ago Nov 1 in Reedley CA. The t...heme was inspired by how personally moved founding members Selena Martinez Mak and Sirina Renee Resendez were, by the volume of immigration issues caused by decisions made from our soon-to-be former president. Artists Editr & Ibex passionately painted from their hearts, giving the mural a tagline stating, Art Is The Voice Of.. The Voiceless. In addition to thanking the artists we would like to thank Executive Director Hajj Reza Nekumanesh from the Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno (ICCF) who led the ceremony in spiritual words of praise and grace. We would like to thank our guest speaker and performer FONZO, artist and community organizer for the #NOMOREKIDSINCAGES rallies. Thank you to Jose A. Moreno for creating such a dynamic flyer using the art of the mural and for documenting the event. Thank you Centro de Folklor for collaborating on our second mural unveiling and in the same weekend! The quality and professionalism of your Mexican dance company and performers continue to impress everyone in your path. Thank you to the owners of Sun-Rise Market, the city of Reedley, Ca and everyone who attended with your families and signs.
