Something we can all relate to..

The game-plan is, taking a long & much needed sabbatical from medical fragile fostering. We were exhausted in ways we didn’t realize at the time. It’s also hard to turn-away the placement calls when they come about a child in need, I keep thinking about the child. Wonder how long till I fold? I also wonder about my littles a couple of times a day. I pray for them every day, believing God I will see them again, I miss them. Man, the house sure is quiet.

Just finished a 2 1/2 year placement & we are taking a LONG sabbatical from medical fragile fostering. During those years we did everything we said we wouldn’t as rookies. We dealt with almost all the behaviors & trauma, we even ended up taking care of more demanding illnesses that we’d planned for. Still, I regret nothing. Now to putting the house back together. The wear & tear is evident everywhere I look, even when I look in the mirror . Oh well, it is what it is. ... #time4restoration
