Today K9 Cain had his first local vet visit. Thank you Ferndale & Fortuna Veterinary, Dr. Flores and staff for establishing a plan for K9 Cain's basic veterinary needs and advice on how best to ensure we keep K9 Cain at the top of his game. K9 Cain met several customers outside the clinic who were excited to meet and interact with Cain.

Fortuna Police Department K9 CAIN pets have arrived. These nine inch tall pets are a replica of K9 CAIN that come with a custom collar, vest/harness, and K9 badge. While supplies last, K9 CAIN pets will be given out to those who choose to make a cash donation of $20 or more to the Fortuna Police Department K9 Program. To receive your Fortuna Police Department K9 CAIN pet, stop by the Fortuna Police Department, 621 11th Street in Fortuna Monday through Thursday from 9:...00 AM to 5:00 PM. Donations directly support the K9 Program. Thank you for the support.

Our February installment of Coffee with the Chief via Facebook live featured Chief Day and his guests K9 Coordinator Sgt. Primofiore, K9 Handler FTO Stevens, K9 Cain and Department Volunteer Linda Bergstrom. During this episode we unfortunately encountered technical issues and it did not air as planned. Due to this we have pre-recorded an updated installment of Coffee with the Chief featuring our February guests. This installment will be aired tomorrow, Friday April 23, 2021 at 3:00 PM. Additionally it is our hope to return to an in person venue for Coffee with the Chief in May. We will post the date, location and time in the beginning on May.
