Have you noticed the rise in grocery prices lately? Is it getting more difficult to find and afford the foods that your family needs? This is part of what food bankers are calling the "food cliff", and we are not expecting things to improve any time soon. More and more people are seeing the inadequacies and precariousness of our current food system, but there are many people and organizations, including FoodLink, that believe Agroecology to be one solution for creating a food system that honors the land, the people, and the animals that feed us. [Agroecology] provides a space to learn, honor, and share our ancestors’ practices and organize collective power through community and mutual support work. ~Jesús Vázquez Negrón Check out this global movement towards food sovereignty and grassroots mobilization.
