We'll cross this bridge when we come to it - first, we've got to check out our collection of the Folsom Telegraph: The Folsom Historical Society is home to the largest collection of the Folsom Telegraph, which can be found on microfilm or bound, like this 1952 version. In here, you can see ads for how cheap groceries used to be, or different events in town, like this ad to let everyone know in Folsom that Andy Coulner would be playing his dam construction film. Though mainly used to treat malaria, quinine has historically been used as a remedy for everything from leg cramps to headaches and is made from the bark of the cinchona tree. Whether they worked or not, you had to head to your local druggist to pick yours up! Locally, maybe you would've headed over to Burnham's! Sometimes the smallest things have the most interesting stories!

This shiny golden treasure is one of the first you encounter in the Folsom History Museum! Removed from SP-2372, the type 4-6-0 locomotive built by the Southern Pacific Company in Sacramento, California, was in service from 1918 to 1957.
