Lots of VOR's are going to be decommissioned in the next few years...Are ILS's next on the chopping block?
We get a little spoiled in So Cal as most of our IFR flying involves preplanned TEC routing. Good article from a controller on what you file vs what you get.
Fine print strikes again...This pilot missed a procedural note and almost ended up a statistic.
Remember both VFR and IFR navigational charts along with the Chart Supplement and much more is available for download from the FAA in PDF format for your electronic tablet.
