It’s Hispanic Heritage Month and it reminds us of the inspiration behind El Sur.Our founder, Marianne Despres, developed the recipes for our empanadas from memories of her South American upbringing, family recipes, and culinary techniques she learned throughout her career in the food business. Earthy mushrooms, cheese and chives are perfectly matched with the subtle yet diverse fruit flavors and vibrant acidity of this wine. The Languedoc has steadily built an esteemed reputation for producing beautiful rosés and is proving to be a fierce contender to neighboring Provence. The Res Fortes winery is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees and boasts vines up to 80+ years old. Get some before it’s gone!
