SHAMROCK'N 2020 HAS BEEN POSTPONED The welfare of our running community is always our top priority. Due to the rapidly developing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, Shamrock’n weekend, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 14th and 15th, has been postponed to a tentative date this fall. This is a very difficult time for our community and nation. Over the past week, we have been working closely with government and health experts to determine the right course of action thr...ough this complicated decision-making process. Governor Gavin Newsom and California public health officials updated their policy last night to counter the spread of the coronavirus. Postponing the race was an incredibly hard decision. We know so many of you have trained and were looking forward to the event. We were taking a number of actions to ensure a safe event. However, this is a fluid situation and we have to put public safety first. We will be sending communication further communication regarding specific postponement details. Packet pickup is also postponed until we finalize fall details.

Shamrock’n race organizers are carefully monitoring developments related to the Coronavirus. We recognize and share the great concern and uncertainty that exists right now within our community. Safety is our first priority and our operations team has been in consistent dialogue with local authorities and is monitoring developments related to all safety aspects of the race weekend, including Coronavirus. All Shamrock’n weekend activities are scheduled to take place as planned in accordance with city and county guidelines. See you soon!

Please join the Sacramento Zoo and Fleet Feet on April 19, at the 40th Annual ZooZoom, which benefits the Sacramento Zoo. There are options for everyone from a 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) to a 10K run (6.2 miles). The 5K run/walk & 10K run will lead participants through beautiful Land Park and finish near the back entrance to the Zoo. There are also four events for the cubs in your pack: a 220-yard run for ages 4 and under, a 440-yard run for ages 5-6, a -mile run for ages 7-9, and a 1-mile run for ages 10-12. All kids (ages 4-12) that enter the Fun Runs will receive a special finisher's medal and race number. Afterwards, join us for some fun at the post race party. REMEMBERING THOSE LOST ON 9/11. Please join the Sacramento community on Sunday, September 8, 2019 as we honor those lost on 9/11 with a 5K Run/Walk, Kids' Half Mile Fun Run and Tribute in the Park.
