Ok people, its time for fall planting and winter veges. At Fish Ranch Farms we have all kinds of cool fall and winter veges like rutabegas, turnips, mustard greens, dock, burdock and my personal fave Egyptian walking onions....and yes they do walk, that's not just a euphemism. Thanks to everyone who has added this nursery. We are trying very hard to do something that's new and awesome. We aren't just trying to sell you plants, we are trying to open your hearts and minds to the idea that there's more to your yard than just a place to to show off your income. Its more than just curb appeal. Its making a positive step to save the planet. I'm not trying to be melodramatic here, because to me its to that point. The way we have done things up until now IS unsustainable. Period. Its time for something new and that's where we step in. Thanks again. Ok people, its bright and early on a beautiful Saturday morning. I'm off to the Orinda farmers market to sell our awesome wares. Hello my little dumplings, this is Mark again. Its almost time for doing your fall plantings. Here at Fish Ranch Farms will have a full selection of awesome winter greens and veges. If you're even slightly curious come on down for a fall/winter vege class on 9/2/2012 where we will go over planting, mulching, prepping your garden for winter and last but not least all of the awesome veges you can grow through the winter here in California. Also, since I've last posted our inventory has EXPLODED we have more cactus, succulents, xerics and other awesome plants now in stock. Not to mention all the other great stuff we always carry, like licorice, marshmallow, New Zealand spinach, Malabar red spinach and the loads of perrenials that have sprouted over the last month.

Oh and I almost forgot cuz my cockles were all squishy with love for y'all. We have lots of NEW stuff coming out to the shelves over the next week or so. Stuff like Ashwagandha, Virginia smoking tobacco, Ratibida, 2 kinds of penstemon and lots of other stuff. Come on by and id be happy to tell you allllll about it
