Been lax at getting these up on my page recently, but today's service (our second LIVE service held in our church parking lot) focuses on the worries and anxiet...ies that lead us to wonder at various times: "Is this the end of the world? Is this the end of life as we know it?" In many ways, we are living in an apocalypse - but not the cataclysmic vision of popular literature. Rather, we are in a time of "revealing" or "unveiling" that allows us to see ourselves in a new light. And we don't always like what we see. Anyway, in response to that reality, our job is not to hide and hunker, but to continue to live boldly and be the agents of love and grace we are called to be. After all, as Jesus said, "We are in the birth pangs of something new about to come." Plus, if you watch the service, you'll get to see Wyatt (my 3rd grader) do his first scripture reading. And at the end, we perform a beautiful song called "Ophelia" by Roo Panes. Enjoy and stay inspired, everyone! See more
