From atop the West Hollywood building, our senior technician Don continues to examine the situation, and takes one more look at the breathtaking view. Sitting on 19th floor overlooking all of Los Angeles, this massive masonry fireplace commands attention in the space. Its new owner called us about replacing it with something modern and trendy seen on Pinterest. Only, to accomplish exactly what the owner showed us, the entire construction would have had to be taken apart bric...k by brick. A very costly endeavor we all agreed wasn't really worth pursuing. After pondering different options, we came up with a retrofitting solution that conserves the current masonry while replacing the fireplace unit with something completely new and modern. We proposed various models resembling the one that had initially inspired the owner, and that are also compatible with the existing structure.
