I've wanted to build a 1911 Bob Tail Carry for sometime. Finally found one with 1911 Builders. Quality and price were great, and so were the reviews. The build was easy. I didn’t have an option to choose the 2011 from the list, so I chose the Para. This is a 2011 long dust cover kit in 10mm. I’ve built several 1911builder kits, and they have all been high quality and given me good results. This kit initially had a machining blemish inside the firing pin hole. My 1st 1911 Build and first 1911 in general. It was a great experience and I learned a TON in the process. A few mistakes were made but in the end, it turned out exactly how I wanted and is a GREAT shooter, even without the sights installed. I've already started another. Parts are fantastic quality and extremely well made. The PRC and decking jig were a must as well. We are now installing the new Cali Compliant internal magazine locks $50.00 per lower. How the lock works.....A spring loaded pin is installed to the top of the receiver. When the upper is closed the pin is pushed down behind the mag release button blocking it. Pull the rear pin on the receiver... open the receiver up the lock will spring up and the mag release will now work. They can be removed but.........for zombies only
