When the going gets tough, our volunteers get tougher! Last Thursday, at FIND’s food and diaper distribution at Coachella Valley High School, our truck lift stopped working. Volunteers, staff, and the National Guard stepped up and unpacked each bag by hand. There are always new challenges to overcome, and we’re proud to serve alongside a community that’s willing to go the extra mile to help those in need. 1 in 5 people experience food insecurity in our Desert Region. Those affected by the pandemic still rely on support to continue meeting basic needs like housing, medicine, and a full stomach. FIND’s 11th Annual Telethon on April 9 will raise awareness and funds to double our food distribution to meet the historic levels of hunger continuing through 2021.
