Kathy finished "The Bright Side" shawl and isn’t it lovely?! The pattern is a free Ravelry download (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-bright-side ) and was specially designed for the Dark Side of the Moon by Alexandra-The Art of Yarn. It's a simple, one-skein project-- knitted in stockinette stitch, purling the little stretch of color on the right side and knitting it on the wrong side--creating a cool-looking, randomly textured fabric. Technically, the beaches aren’t officially closed at this time - at least state beaches (I’m a stickler for accuracy!) But the entire coastside community is trying to spread awareness that despite the hot temperatures inland and poor air quality, staying away from the coast right now is vital due to the need to keep the path clear for evacuations and emergency vehicles. Our thoughts are with those who have already lost their homes, as well as the people that have evacuated or are evacuating, or packing and preparing to evacuate as we speak. Stay safe everyone!
