Far North Climbing Gym

Our dearest friends and climbers, We are expecting a reopening date of sometime in the following week. Tuesday at the earliest. You can find out by checking our Instagram or Facebook pages. If you saw our last post you may be anticipating some changes. Rest assured a lot will be happening in the months and years that follow. Most importantly, you all can immediately expect a reduction in membership fees.... Most EFT/Autopay account holders that were billed for the month of March will be credited for one month of membership upon your next visit. After that expires you can sign up again at a lower rate. Check in with the front desk for additional information about that. All prepaid accounts were frozen and will resume whenever you folks make it back in to climb. Face coverings still required at this time but that is all. No need to make a reservation! We will be open 10am to 8pm every day with 10am to 12pm being members only hours.. Lastly, outdoor season is in full swing and many of us in the climbing community will be getting onto real rock every weekend and throughout the week! Tomorrow we will be going to Jim's Boulder, just after Big Bar on the Trinity River. Horrible news today. We are closed indefinitely until some very important administrative things get sorted out. All prepaid memberships will be frozen tomorrow.... Fingers crossed that this isn't a lengthy shut down.

Re-opening just in time for the New Year. 10 to 5 tomorrow, but hours will vary for the first week or two.

We've been quiet. Mostly because we don't know what the future holds. Hopefully we will be open by March. Keep your fingers crossed. On a separate note, we are happy to sell you some gear if anyone is looking to pick up some chalk, rope, draws, or gift cards. (We have physical gift cards now not just paper certificates). A few things to share on this lovely Tuesday. 1) If you aren't busy, you should be outside climbing. 2) Our business hours have expanded for members! We are now open at 9:30am Tuesday - Thursday still closing at 7:30. Friday we are now open 9am to 9pm! Hours for non members will remain 11 to 5 daily.... 3) The entire Take-Out Box is to be reset this coming Saturday 10/17, so finish up those projects! 4) We are beginning the process of finding an instructor for our youth programs here at Far North. Please inquire with management if this is something that may interest you.

Good News Everyone! Slowly but surely things are getting back to normal and today that means we can expand our operating hours just a bit. Members can come in an hour and a half earlier on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meaning we're open 9:30 to 7:30 on those days now.... Thanks to each and every one of you for your continued support.

Lost Rocks trip planned for Friday. We will be out there late. Some BBQ to be had. Tons of climbs for all abilities. Tell your friends. Get out on some real rock with us! Departing Far North at 10am!

Help us stay open!

Far North Climbing Gym is officially reopening this Monday, June 29th. To comply with local health ordinances we are requiring all climbers and patrons to wear facial coverings. We also ask that you do not bring loose chalk into our facility and instead use liquid chalk. This will both cut down on the mess and our new order of liquid chalk passes the minimum alcohol content requirements for health and safety.... Classes are still canceled indefinitely, sorry kiddos. Our hours of operation have unfortunately been impacted by the pandemic and we will only be open to the public 11am to 5pm every day. Open to members until 7pm.

This is the news you've all been waiting for: The county Health Officer says, "Fitness centers are expected to be cleared for reopening the first week of July". 4th of July events are cancelled across the nation, so you can celebrate with climbing instead (:... See you all soon.
