Dear All: This is a personal message. I would like to invite you to my daughter's Circus Show. Mayra is a student at San Diego Circus Center (SDCC) and I am very proud of her and her talented friends. Due to the pandemic and the impossibility of having an in-person show as usual, SDCC has put together an amazing Live-streaming (Virtual Presentation) that will be broadcast online on Sunday January 17th from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time. It is only $22. It is going to be s...hown only once. I hope you can support SDCC and my daughter by buying a ticket to watch the show at home together with your family. I am sure you would love the show. It is a professional circus show. Please check SDCC website for more information. You can buy your ticket here: www.SDCCtickets.com I hope you can join us. @mayra.izel_navarro166 Sincerely, Fabiola Navarro See more

"Many people not married to a U.S. citizen were left out of the COVID-19 relief package because of their immigration statuseven though they pay federal taxes through the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number." Please read this important information from the AIC.

"On September 22, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services updated its website to state that it would apply the 2019 public charge regulations and related guidance to all applications and petitions postmarked (or submitted electronically) on or after February 24, 2020. It also reposted Form I-944. This announcement follows the Second Circuit’s stay of a U.S. district court injunction that had prevented the regulations from going into effect. Litigation challenging the regulations continues in multiple federal courts." https://www.nilc.org//public-charge-five-things-to-know-n/

As a lawyer and as a woman, I have admired Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg since I learned all she has done for our country when I moved to the U.S. She is our hero, our RBG. There is no way to describe the hopelessness, the pain and the devastation I feel right now. We are lost. Yes, our country is lost if Trump is able to elect another SC Justice. I cannot breathe right now. Without a doubt this is the worst year of our lives. We cannot allow Republicans to elect ...another Justice. This is an election year, they should not even dare to seek a nomination because they blocked Obama's nomination on an election year. Dear RBG, Rest in Power. Your life, your example as a woman of law, as a wonderful mother and wife, your teachings, and your wisdom will give us strength to keep fighting for justice. I promise you that I will be a better lawyer each day to seek Justice, the respect of Human Rights and the preservation of our Democratic Values. We will continue fighting. You are and always will be my hero. #RBGrestinpower #RBGHero In her memory, please vote for Biden and Harris in November #BidenHarris2020 #lawofficefabiolanavarro https://www.nytimes.com///us/ruth-bader-ginsburg-dead.html

Today, USCIS announced the following: On July 31, 2020, we announced a final rule that adjusts the fees we charge for most immigration and naturalization benefit requests. The new fees become effective Oct. 2, 2020. In addition to adjusting fees, the final rule removes certain fee exemptions, limits fee waivers, alters premium processing time limits, and modifies certain intercountry adoption processing. Some of our forms will change. We will post the new and revised forms ...online 30 days before the new rule goes into effect In other words, I advise you to file your applications as soon as possible, so you can avoid paying the additional fees. USCIS must receive your application before October 2, 2020 to process your application with the current fees. For example, USCIS fees to apply for naturalization will increase from $725 to $1255 and for an Employment Authorization application will increase from $410 to$550. If you have a case pending with my office or would like to apply for your residency, naturalization or any other immigration relief before the fees increase takes place, please contact me as soon as possible, so we can talk about these changes and make sure we file your case before October 2, 2020. Sinceramente, Fabiola Navarro

In the last past weeks, I have followed with special attention all the Court's decisions and the actions that USCIS has taken regarding DACA. I have recommended my clients to wait until we learn specifically what was going to be this government reaction towards the Supreme Court Decision on DACA. Unfortunately, today we got bad news, and the DHS has issued a memo where it announces that it will reject all new initial DACA applications and it will limit the deferred action per...Continue reading

GREAT NEWS: "The Trump administration has rescinded a rule that would have required international students to transfer schools or leave the country if their colleges hold classes entirely online this fall because of the coronavirus pandemic." As I mentioned in previous posts, I was not recommending to file any Initial DACA. In fact, I have not filed any Initial DACA applications nor have I been hired by any of the people who have called me regarding this issue because I decided to wait until I was sure USCIS was processing them before signing any contract. Unfortunately, USCIS is not accepting Initial DACA applications. I follow a DACA Facebook Group and someone posted this. I am so sorry for this bad news. I will keep you informed with any updates. #lawofficefabiolanavarro

There is still uncertainty as to when Trump will move to end DACA. I will keep you posted with any updates. At this time, it is not advisable to file an initial DACA application. However, I advise you to file renewal applications as soon as possible. #lawofficefabiolanavarro https://thehill.com//506018-trump-expected-to-refile-paper

I am beyond thrilled to let you know that The U.S. Supreme Court ruled today to keep the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program alive for now. This decision will help protect the lives of nearly 700,000 current DACA recipients because they will continue to have temporary protection from deportation. In other words, this means that if you are a DACA recipient, you will be able continue to file your renewal application. Also, people will be able to submit an in...Continue reading

Today, "The Supreme Court refused to hear the Trump administration’s challenge to a California sanctuary law, leaving intact rules that prohibit law enforcement officials from aiding federal agents in taking custody of immigrants as they are released from jail. The court’s action is a major victory for California in its long-running battle with President Trump." https://www.latimes.com//supreme-court-rejects-trumps-chal
