My friend Jared Heyman is right on the money on this one: 'This new coronavirus test is a big deal because by measuring antibodies, it can detect if a person has ever been exposed to the virus in the past. We might be undercounting infections by as much as 20x. This would be good news because it means the virus is likely much less deadly and we’re much closer to herd immunity than originally thought.
