Looking at the bright side and focusing on the positive has never been more critical for our emotional wellbeing. "Let's face it, there are plenty of reasons to focus on what is wrong with the world," Wesley Combs starts off in his latest newsletter to his followers. The executive coach and inclusion advisor continues from there to offer advice that we all KNOW but need to be reminded of: to focus on the positive, try to ration negative news, and focus on what we can change rather than obsess on what we can't. We've pulled out the powerful gist below. You can read the whole thing here: https://www.camprehoboth.com//november-13-2020-intentional #everyonematters

This heals my heart. I HAD to share this! I just LOVED watching precious 3 1/2 month old puppy named Rammen being bathed by his Mommy Valerie - who named him after her favorite ramen noodles (but added an extra "M" in memory of her beloved cat Mitchii). Singing is by the wonderful Johnny Only (aka Jonathan Wright), who used to listen to Tennessee Ernie Ford when he was a kid.

You will find it hard not be moved to tears watching as former prima ballerina Marta Gonzalez, suffering from Alzheimers and slumped over in a wheelchair in a care home, comes alive as she hears the famous Tchaikovsky's music from Swan Lake she danced to 52 years earlier, in 1967, with the New York Ballet. You see Marta's face begin to recognize the music, and her dormant arms and hands begin to come alive, start to flutter and express the dance moves that are stored in the D...NA of her body and soul. This was recorded last year, in 2019, shortly before her death, by her caregiver, and was recently shared by the Asociacion Musica para Despertar, a Spanish charity which utilizes music to improve the mood and memory of those afflicted by dementia and Alzheimers. The clip was shared by actor Antonio Banderas on his personal Facebook page, saying he hoped that the video would serve as 'a well-deserved recognition of her art and her passion.' The applause you hear at the end of her astonishing performance are those who witnessed the emotional, magic moment at the care home. The charity noted that "the power of music is immeasurable. May she rest in peace." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owb1uWDg3QM
