Good news in 2020 alert!! I’ve had the privilege of volunteering on the the Alzheimer’s OC Gala Committee this year. Today was the VIRTUAL Gala Event. Like many of you out there, the event was set for March 21st, 2020. But just shortly before the date, it was postponed. The committee then moved the date to August 22nd, 2020 only to face the decision of postponing again. So instead, Alzheimer’s OC embraced going completely VIRTUAL. Amazing, brave, and it paid off. I really en...joyed delivering catering meals and wine to people attending the virtual event today!! It reminded me of how many people share the hope of finding a cure. This cause is very close to my heart. Tonight, Alzheimer’s Orange County had huge success despite a pandemic in the way. A good reminder that people will show up for the cause no matter what. We need to hear good news in 2020 and this is definitely good news. Let’s come together and make an impact on people around us. Today Steven & Hyoeun let love win during this pandemic! They postponed their SoCal Celebration to 2021, but still had a socially distant Mini Ceremony on their original date in Hyoeun’s parents backyard in the Pacific Northwest.
