EDS is happy to support the Lake Pomo Family Sculpture Project that includes the commission and installation of a bronze statue honoring the culture and resilience of the Pomo people of Lake County. This is a wonderful cause. Please consider donating.
Congratulations Team EDS... for winning the on-call Cultural Resource Services contract for Sonoma County Regional Parks. "The selection committee has reached a consensus, and we are pleased to inform you that we will be recommending your firm to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors for the award of an As-Needed Agreement for Cultural Resources Service"
Cultural Resource Study and a Historic Resource Evaluation ... EDS does it all. Also, EDS Senior Archaeologist Gilbert Browning showing off his Trimble skills.
I’m very grateful for the opportunity to advance my knowledge and skills in bioarchaeology in such an amazing city. Thank you to EDS and my wonderful business partner and employees who are behind the scenes working hard to allow me this opportunity. I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you Team EDS
Heading out to conduct an architectural survey this am near Sacramento!!! Although it’s going to be hot today, EDS is excited to work with this new client. Happy Monday!
So much happening at EDS ... so many projects and moving into exciting new areas. Also a few new staff members as well. Looking forward to our new project near Sacramento this week!!! Also cheers to my business partner and our principal archaeologists Sally Evans, who is attending classes in Warsaw, Poland for the next two weeks. Just a few photos of our recent historic architectural work.
One of the things I love most about my job is being able to visit some amazingly beautiful properties like this one surveyed by EDS earlier this week.
Thank you so much to Team EDS for an amazing two weeks and all your hard work!!! Just a few highlights to share from an old homestead site.
One of the highlights this year for the EDS team has been completing the Historic American Building Survey (HABS) project for the National Park Service/Yosemite National Park, So much fun and so honored to work with archivists, project managers, cultural resource experts, photographers, and so many more to help make this one happen.
Conducting research at the Humboldt County Historical Society today for a big project near Fortuna!!!!
Amazing day in Fremont today!!! This house, adjacent to Ohlone College, has an amazing story and I can’t wait to read what more our Senior Architectural Historian Brian uncovers about the history of this EDS project.
Last year EDS had the opportunity to evaluate the former A.W. Garrett Hardware store (though altered) on the Plaza in downtown Healdsburg and today I surveyed and evaluated the A.W. Garrett house on Matheson Street, just a few blocks from his hardware store. Love the opportunity to connect these two histories.
