It's been a while. Facebook has been nudging me gently but persistently, asking me to post something on this page :) I have been busy too- new job, a lot more technical than what I was doing the past few years! I can't complain though, I am soaking in the beautiful world of APIs :) Well, the creative side of me (the one I enjoy the most) has been urging me to share a few pictures of the the lovelies who are adoring my treasure trove. I have infused a lot of color this time. ...It is end of spring and beginning of summer. So, why not color? Why not bedazzle? I have toyed with a lot of unusual color combinations and got some startling (to me, I can't gauge your reactions yet) results. So hold on for a few more hours and wait for me to upload them and fill my page with "rang biranga" earrings mostly, a few bracelets and haath phools, and some neck pieces! My "dil thaam ke" moment is nearing for I can't wait to see your reactions! It's like that pre-release tension actors or CEOs feel before they launch their product in front of the world! The last of my Turkish necklace that was lovingly restored by my artisan (kaarigar). The necklace originates from a mountain tribal woman who sold the family heirloom out of dire need. Hand-crafted and antique, this is a 40 year old revered treasure. It was a mangled twisted piece of metal when I saw it first, in the back alleys of a street in Capadocia, Turkey.
