I got a new sweatshirt.
A card (with super fancy chocolates!) from one of my clients. She was one of my first clients when I started teaching, she stuck with me 3 times a week while I opened my studio, over the following 13 years, and now with virtual Pilates online over the past 9 months. She complains about how mean I am to her the entire hour, but she keeps showing up!
With the County back in the Purple Tier, the studio is closed again for now. We hope to see you again in person soon, and in the meantime, we are still offering virtual training so you can keep up with your Pilates at home!
I mean... it's not NOT true...
Our front desk looks more like a doctor's office than a Pilates studio, and we have more fans and air purifiers than clients inside the studio at any given time, but we are officially open (at 10% capacity)! Yay!!! Call or email us if you'd like to come in! We look forward to seeing you!

Please stay active, especially now. Exercise boosts the immune system, improves mood and health, and helps you keep your sanity in weird and stressful times. I'd love to see you in our virtual studio (and hopefully soon in our in-person studio!) but in whatever way is right for you, just keep moving!
Some reassuring news for when we are allowed to re-open. Large group classes involving high intensity workouts were shown to spread the virus wildly, but... "... if those findings sound concerning, the data did contain some bright spots. The epidemiologists uncovered zero cases resulting from classes with fewer than five students per session or from low-intensity yoga or Pilates classes, even if they were taught by an infected instructor."
We're in the news!
Please, please, please exercise during this lock down! We already know it's good for mood, the immune system, and general health, but now there's evidence it can help lessen the severity of Covid-19 symptoms. I would love nothing more than for everyone to join us for online Pilates classes, but if you can't for whatever reason, walk, hike, or go for a bike ride at least every other day. Stay healthy!
This ad keeps popping up all over FB. So... ummm... if you have back pain or sciatica, please do anything OTHER than this. Call us. We can help. This position, however... not so much.

Different benefits from low and high intensity exercise. Come in to the studio to improve your cognitive processing and attention. "After low-intensity exercise, Rs-MRI showed that networks in the brain associated with cognitive control/attention were stimulated, while after high-intensity exercise, networks associated with emotions were more active, and those related to fatigue/motor function, decreased."
